1.It was the beginningے start of my profession occupation, vocation as a nurse. I worked in the Intensive severe, serious Care Unit (ICU) of neurology ward. As a young professional trained person, I wished to save the world. I was excited eager, thrilled to see patients making quick fast, rapid recoveries from devastating damaging, destructive accidents, yet I was pained aggrieved to nurse care those who were struck suffered with acute severe, grave neurological-disorder sickness, ailment. 9th Class English Lesson 9 All is not Lost
ایک نرس کے طور پر یہمیرے پیشے کی آغاز تھا۔ میں اعصاب وارڈ ےکے انتہائی نگہداشت یونٹ میں کام کرتی تھی۔ ایک نوجوان پیشہ ور نر سکے طور پر میں دنیا کو بچانا چاہتی تھی۔ میں تباہ ے حادثات سے تیزی سے صحت یاب ے ُ ک ہوتے ہوئے ے ےمریضوں کو ےدیکھ کر پُرجوش ہو جاتی تھی، تاہم مجھے ا ن مریضوں کی دیکھ بھال کرتے ہوئے تکلیف محسوس ہوتی تھی جو کہ شدید اعصاب بیماری میں مبتلا ہوتے تھے۔
2.One day, standing at the bedside of a young bus-accident victim affected person, prey, I wondered if she could make the same recovery retrieval, gain health as others. Hira had received severe acute, serious head and spinal vertebral, backbone injuries as she was hit by a speeding bus ت)یرز فتار بس( while crossing a busy road. I took her lifeless arms in my hands and tried to do several exercises on her but in vain futile, useless. Also, I made her younger sister come and talk to her, thinking that the voice of a near and dear one might activate stimulate the nearly almost dead neurons nerve cells. She could see but not talk. ایک دن بس حادثے کا شکار ایک نوجوان )لڑکی( کے بیڈ کے قریب کھڑی میں حیران تھی کہ کیا وہ دوسرے مریضوں کی طرح صحت یاب ہو سکے گی۔ ےحرا کو سر اور ریڑھ کی ہڈی ے کے شدید زخم آئے تھے جب وہ ےایک مصروف ےسڑک پار کرتے وقت ےتیز رفتار بس سے ٹکرا گئی تھی۔ میں نے ا سکے بے جان بازے وؤں ےکو اپنے ہاتھوں میں لے لیا اور ا سپر کئی ورزشیں ے کرنے کی کوشش کی لیکن بے سود۔ میں نے ا س کی چھوٹی بہن کو بھی بلوایا کہ وہ ا سسے باتیں کرے یہ سوچتے ہوئے کہ ممکن ہ کسی قریبی عزیز کی آواز قریب قریب مردہ ےاعصاب ے خلیوں کو متحرک کر سکے۔ وہ دیکھ سکتی تھی مگر بول نہیں سکتی تھی۔ ا س کی آنکھیں ایک خاص بےبسی ظاہر کرتی تھیں۔ میں ا سکی آنکھوں ےکے ذریعے ےا سکے ذہن کو پڑھ سکتی تھی۔ شائ وہ کہنا چاہتی تھی، "مہربانی کرکے میری مدد کیجئے۔"
3.A fellow companion nurse came near me and asked, “Rahila, what are you doing? Fighting a lost defeated battle? I was shocked traumatized, distressed at first to hear a colleague co-worker making a hopeless comment remark. Then I replied, “I’m trying to make her brain process handle, administer her sister’s voice. Also, I am doing maybes to ensure make certain that her arms and legs get proper exercise. This might help her walk like a normal usual, common person.” Meanwhile, a senior doctor on duty walked in. میری ایک ساتھی نرس میرے قریب آئی اور پوچھنے لگی، "راحیلہ، تم کیا کر رہی ہو؟ ایک ہار یہوئی جنگ لڑ رہی ہو؟" پہلے تو ایک رفیقہ کار کا ےمایوسی پر مبنی تبصرہ سُن کر ے ےمجھے صدمہ پہنچا۔ پھر ے میں نے جواب دیا، "میں کوشش کر رہی ہوں کہ ا سکا ذہن اپنی بہن کی آواز کو پہچانے ے)پرکھے(۔ ےمیں اسِ بات کو بھی یقین بنانے کی کوشش کر رہی ہوں ےکہ ا سکے باز واور ٹانگیں مناسب ورزش حاصل کریں۔ اسِ سے ہو سکتا ہ ا سے ایک عام )صحت مند( آدمی کی طرح چلنے میں مدد ملے۔" اسی دوران ڈیوٹی پر موجود ایک سینئر ڈاکٹر چل کر اندر آئے۔ وہ میری طرف دیکھ کر طنزیہ انداز سے مسکرائے اور کہنے لگے، "اگر آپ اپنی ڈیوٹی کا ےزیادہ تر وقت صرف ایک مریض پر ےصرف کریں گی تو دوسرے مریضوں کی دیکھ بھال کے لیے ہمیں ا ور نرسیں بھرتی کرنا پڑیں گی۔ مہربانی کرکے جائیں اور دوسرے مریض دیکھیں۔ ہمیں اس )مریضہ( کے بارے میں زیادہ امید نہیں ہ۔ میرا نہیں خیال کہ وہ کبھی دوبارہ چل سکتی ہ۔"
4. I was upset worried. The advice to leave the patient unattended neglected did not seem right. I knew that she had suffered from major neural damage harm, injury, but she needed to be given a chance. An inner voice somewhere within me spoke, “Try once for her”. All is not Lost Urdu Translation
میں پریشان تھی۔ مریضہ کو بغیر دیکھ بھال کے چھوڑ دینے کا مشورہ درست دکھائی نہیں دیتا تھا۔ میں جانتی تھی کہ وہ بڑے اعصاب نقصان ے ے ے سے دوچار ہوئی تھی لیکن ا سے ایک موقع د ئ ی جانے کی ضرورت تھی۔ ےمیرے اندر سے کہیں سے ایک آواز آئی، "ا س کے لیے ایک بار کوشش کریں۔"ے
5. I went to the senior nurse and told her that I wanted to help this patient and work with her more closely carefully. The senior nurse looked at me with utter complete, sheer surprise astonishment and remarked commented that she had orders from the doctor in-charge to shift her to the general ward. The doctors thought that she was a hopeless lost, desperate case and the bed must be spared freed for other patients. I was shocked to hear this. The patient’s family also requested me to help them fight contest the case. Something needed to be done. I could not leave my patient fighting a lost battle on her own. I made up my mind to risk endanger, imperil my career and help the patient. I requested the senior doctors to allow me to attend to this young helpless desperate patient. Somehow, I was able to make the patient stay in the ICU.
میں سینئر نرس کے پاس گئی اور ےا سے بتایا کہ میں ا سمریضہ کی مدد کرنا چاہتی ہوں اور ا سکے ساتھ زیادہ قریب )یعنی توجہ( سے کام کرنا چاہتی ہوں۔ سینئر نرس نے ےانتہائی ےحیرت ےکے ساتھ میری طرف دیکھا اور کہا کہ ا سے انچارج ڈاکٹر کی طرف سے احکامات ہیں کہ اسے جنرل وارڈ میں منتقل ےکردیا جائے۔ ڈاکٹروں کا خیال تھا کہ وہ ایک ناقابل علاج مریضہ ہ اور بیڈ ے دوسرے مریضوں کے لیے خالی کرا لینا چاہیے۔ مجھے یہ سُن کر صدمہ پہنچا۔ مریضہ کے اہل خان نے بھی مجھ سے درخواست کی کہ مریضہ کی بیماری کے خلاف کوشش میں ا ن کی مدد ے کروں۔ کچھ ن کچھ کیے جانے کی ضرورت تھی۔ میں ےاپنی مریضہ کو ایک ہار یہوئی جنگ خود لڑنے کے لیے تنہا نہیں چھوڑ سکتی تھی۔ میں نے اپنی ملازمت )کے چلے جانے( کا خطرہ مول لینے اور مریضہ کی مدد کرنے کا ےارادہ کر لیا۔ ےمیں نے سینئر ڈاکٹروں سے درخواست کی کہ وہ مجھے ا سنوجوان بےبس مریضہ کی دیکھ بھال کرنے کی اجازت دے دیں۔ کسی ن کسی طرح میں مریضہ کو انتہائی نگہداشت میں ٹھہرانے کے قابل ہو گئی۔
6. I continued to work on Hira. But she was not making much recovery. I felt as helpless as her to see her lie on bed in a miserable wretched state. Could I be able to justify defend, rationalize my stance posture, viewpoint before the senior doctors? I did not lose hope. I continued to work with patience and kept doing exercises with her. Gradually slowly, steadily, I could see her making a slight minor, trivial recovery. One day I was thrilled excited to see her lift her little finger. All was not lost!

7. I was sent on a three months training course to Karachi. I made all possible attempts efforts to leave my patient in good hands. I returned after three months to see my patient’s bed taken up by another. My feet froze immobilized, fixed to the ground. I did not have the courage nerve, valour to ask, “What happened?”
مجھے تین مہینے کے تربیتی کور سپر کراچی بھیج دیا گیاے۔ میں نے ہر ممکن کوشش کی کہ اپنی مریضہ کو اچھے ہاتھوں میں چھوڑ کر جاؤں۔ میں تین مہینے کے بعد واپس آئی اور اپنی مریضہ ےکا بیڈ ے دیکھنے کے لیے گئی جو کسی اور مریض نے لے لیا تھا۔ میرے پاؤں زمین پر جم گئے۔ میرے پاس یہ پوچھنے کے لیے ہمت ن تھی کہ "کیا ہوا؟"
As I stood near the bed with several questions popping exploding, bursting in my mind, I felt a gentle pat tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see a young woman, smiling at me.

“Thank you for everything you did! I know you did not allow them to make me lead a crippled disabled life.”
"کیا آپ اپنی مریضہ کو تلاےش کر رہی ہیں؟" ا س نے کہا اور مجھے گرم جوشی سے گلے ملی۔ "آپ نے جو کچھ میرے لیے کیا ا س کے لیے آ پکا شکریہ! میں جانتی ہوں آ پنے ان کو ے اجازت نہیں دی کہ وہ مجھے معذوری کی زندگی گزارنے دیں۔"ے
8. I stood still, until her family came around with big smiles on their faces. Thanks to Allah! She was my patient, standing and walking on her own feet. I could not recognize identify her without the machinery and tubes around her body. I was glad that my efforts bore fruit. But most of all, I was happy that Allah Almighty had helped me win a lost battle.

9. She walked on crutches, which she would leave in a few months. I was so glad happy, pleased that I had done those exercises on her to keep her limbs in motion movement. I was glad that my efforts bore fruit. But most of all, I was happy that Allah Almighty had helped me win a lost battle.
